My minecraft launcher wont launch?

When i open minecraft I have no problem until I try to press play on the launcher, it quickly closes then reopens back to the launcher. I added a picture to make sure we are talking about the same thing (obviously the picture on the left). So if you could tell me how to fix it that would be awesome, thanks!
