I've downloaded the "minecraft server" from minecraft.net and I followed the instructions from this website: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/archive/legacy-support/1755811-guide-how-to-make-a-minecraft-server-on-mac
When I tried to log into my server from the minecraft application, the minecraft server says this: 2014-09-08 06:49:26 [INFO] Disconnecting /192.168.1.14:58081: Protocol error
2014-09-08 06:49:26 [INFO] /192.168.1.14:58081 lost connection
What does this mean?
I really want to be able to host my own server so I can play with my friends anytime. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!
