If i were to get the Microsoft Surface Pro, Would it do everything a laptop would do?

Hi there, i am considering buying a Surface Pro (the 1st Pro, and not the RT one), but i was just wondering, does if come with the FULL edition of windows? So would i be able to do everything that i could do on a laptop with it, so something like play Minecraft or other low power games?
