Why do people like Minecraft? - 2

I'm not saying it's a bad game, I just don't get the game. Seriously, I can't go to a public place with children, or have them over because they just talk about Minecraft all the time. It's also like milked to death on YouTube. It's like it takes control of the players mind, and that's why I avoid playing it… My son also has an obsession with it. He watches Minecraft every day, and when the powers out, he reads the books.
