How to setup a minecraft server? - 1

Hey, I wanted to setup a minecraft server for me and my two friends who play minecraft. But the thing is my laptop is kind if low end (i3 5005u intel hd5500 6GB ram) and I think it might lag if I'm the host, is that true?

Also, how do you turn an adventure map into a multiplayer map?
