Elgato help:. Youtube gaming?

i was going to make a gaming youtube channel and upload mainly minecraft, and my birthday has just passed, and i got an elgato hd60, and a blue snowball mic, however my mic seems to laggy to handle the elgato, as within the software it stutters the gameplay all the time!
-these are the factors of my mac - processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, memory 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB
