What type of computer should I get? - 1

My most recent laptop no longer works and I am looking for a new desktop or laptop, whichever works better. I plan on using it for playing Minecraft and The Sims 4. But I still want a computer that can still do basic web searches and I can watch YouTube on. This up coming school year however, I am starting Dual Enrollment where instead of taking some of my classes at my high school I take them at a local college, therefore my mom thought it would be a good idea to get me a laptop to take notes on, but if the price is right I could get a "gaming" desktop and then a cheap, simple laptop to take to the college, So to those who know about computer hardware and all that stuff, what do you recommend? Should I get two computers, or one to do everything on? What types of computers do you recommend?
