How long does it take to buy Minecraft?

Yesterday at around 1:00 pm, I bought Minecraft through Minecraft.net. It gave me the "Placing order" screen with the cow on it. It has been 16 hours and I am still on the Placing Order Screen. Is it supposed to take this long? Or have I done something wrong?
