How to install multiverse rollercoaster in minecraft?

I have downloaded the multiverse rollercoaster and am not sure what to do next to install it into minecraft. I put it in the mods folder and nothing happened. I'm running a Mac computer and version 1.7.10 of Minecraft forge.
