How to disable Enderman in Minecraft?

OK, I hate Enderman. He is the one who made me stop playing Minecraft. I absolutely love to play Minecraft, but I am afraid to go onto Survival Mode and have him like teleport to me out of nowhere. First time I encountered, omg. I couldn't even go on my computer, HE SCARED THE CHICKEN OUT OF ME. Any commands to actually disable Enderman? I heard the command /mof Enderman before. Will that disable him?
