Connect to minecraft server on ps3?

I am planning to build a raspberry PI Minecraft server but i only use minecraft ps3 edition and so does my cousin and i want to share the world with him but can i connect to minecraft servers on the ps3 or would i be waisting my time. I tied googlng it but as usual i get no helpfull results just youtube videos that are ten minutes long just stearing at the minecraft start screen nothing else. Can you help me it would be a fun project and it would make my cousin happy.
