Is Minecraft a kids game?

My 13 year old daughter came home today from school rather upset. As a mother I asked what's wrong? She told me that the girls at school said that Minecraft is a kids game and that she shouldn't play or else she is a baby. This is my first 13 year old so I am still learning but
should I stop her from playing Minecraft or what.
