How to set a spawn point in minecraft?

I made a minecraft server but I cant figure out how to set a spawn point to all of the players that join. If i type /spawnpoint it only sets mine. And befor that every time i die, i for some reason end up somewhere diffrent each time, can you tell me if its some sort of pluggin or what. This is minecraft 1.4.7 by the way
