Can I switch between survival and creative mode in Minecraft Ps3 edition?

I wana make a pvp arena but it would take too long in survival so I was wondering if there is a way to switch between creative and survival. Im only going to use the world for pvp fight s against my friends so I need to switch between the two modes.
