I am trying to play Beta 1.7.3, but when I click the play button, everything loads, but then just hangs on the launcher. This has been happening for a long time now. I have reinstalled the launcher and completely reset the.minecraft folder, yet the problem still persists.
Added (1). Not only does this happen with the version I am trying to start, but every version below 1.6.1
Added (2). It has been able to use the launcher to play old versions before, it usually stops working when the launcher updates. And like I said, reinstalling it doesn't work. I suppose it could just really buggy and Mojang has yet to fix it.
