I have been trying for days and I can't seem to get it right! I need an expert here!
I can't seem to get forge to install (my fault since I accidentally made all my java files open via winrar and I can't seem to switch them back…)
I tried the non forge method (on version 1.8, 1.7.5, and 1.7.10) it doesn't work. I know I'm suppost to first run the version to make that folder exist then go the.minecraft folder and copy the version folder, rename it and all it's contents the same thing and go into the.json file and make sure the id name matches the file name.
I'm well aware this is all case sensitive. I start up minecraft, switch the version to the 1.7.5 (or whatever version then the file name in my case it was 1.7.5_TMI) and I make a creative world and… Nothing…
I also need to note, I HAD forge 1.8 and 1.7.5 downloaded and installed but when I put the mods in the mod folder (which I had to create via new folder) nothing happens. Even when I run 1.8 it SAYS that 2 mods are loaded and active but when I go into creative mode there is nothing new and the mod doesn't exist. I can click MOD on the title screen but it says no child mods exist.
WTF am I doing wrong?!
