Minecraft pixelmon not responding?

I ve downloaded mods before perfectly fine and worked don t but pixelmon seems not to work I have forge, I put the mod in the folder and when I use minecraft launcher to play it starts to load but then says not responding and crashes please help! (ps I don t have any other mods in the thing besides pixelmon) pixelmon 1.8
