What is Fuzzy Logic in Gaming?

I am taking a game design course and I need to know what fuzzy logic is. I understand that its different degrees of like truth, but I mean like how is it used in like chess or something. Maybe another game example? I also wonder, like does minecraft use fuzzy logic? How would that work. I don't understand. Do all games use fuzzy logic?
