Why does Minecraft install itself everytime I launch the game?

Whenever I Launch Minecraft it comes up with an installing bar. It then installs 3 folders on my desktop being; native log, runtime and game. I don't know why it does this? Please help? My Minecraft launcher doesn't have a shortcut sign on it. Could this be why?
