Chromebook and ability to play minecraft?

I know I can load Linux and minecraft through developer mode. I'm just wondering if it's worth it or if it will play really poorly with lots of lag. Here is the chromebook specs: 2Gb DDR3, ARM 1.8 Ghz processing. Hisense c11. Thanks for the input.
