Gaming Sounds Arent Working When On Skype?

Hello. I recently purchased X12 Turtle Beach Headphones for my Windows 8. I was talking on Skype with my friend and playing Minecraft and I cant here anything but the Skype. I cant even here YouTube videos or anything on the Internet when we are on Skype together! Please Help.
