Why do my resource packs not launch?

Hi, I have downloaded both ATLauncher and Technic Launcher, and with both I have the same problem, the resourcepacks install totally fine but whenever I try to launch them it waits a couple of mo' s and then the original launcher just appears again. I have Java 8, and I've tried Minecraft Forge for 1.8 and 1.7.10. I also operate on 64-bit Java and Windows 10. No errors messages ever appear, the same thing just happens again and again. Please help me!
