What should I do before Hardmode in Terraria?

So Terraria is easily my favorite game, beating both COD and Minecraft, and i have just bottom 1.3 and am just now able to play it due to computer issues that I fixed. I have just finished getting all of the weapons I might want for hardmode and have some decent accessories too. I also have a trench dug out to protect my NPC town from the Crimson and Hallowed biomes. The only accessories I can really go for right now that I don t have is the Yoyo glove, the fishing informational accessories, and the lucky horseshoe, but I was planning on just waiting until I got wings for negates fall damage. Is there anything that I should do that is interesting before I go hardmode? All I can think of is grind for the bezoar(I think that s the poison negate thing).
