Need a minecraft nerd asap?!

alright so one of my favorite minecraft servers will not let me play ever since they new update and says spigot 1.8.7 and outdated server, but yet on the site(http://www.minecraft-murder.net/server) it says others are playing. I redownloaded minecraft 2 times and just want to stop playing.
