Minecraft is not letting me log in?

So, Minecraft isnt letting me log in. Its saying it cant connect to our servers and i do have an actual minecraft account because i bought it and i have even tried firewall acssess and it still isnt working, what should i do? Also when i last logged in it just kept saying play offline and when i clicked that it wouldn't load and go back to the home page
