How to get a PC game for free?

Okay so I really really want Sims 4 so bad. I know you can get a free version of minecraft so i was wondering if you can do that for sims. So I looked on YouTube and there were a lot of videos saying you can get one for free. So I listened what they said and did what they did but it didn't work. I just really want Sims 4 but I can't get it because I really can't afford it right now… Please Help!
