What is the well like temple like structure in minecraft desert biome?

They are like a well but made of sandstone instead. They have a 4×4 area of water in them which is 1 block high. The structure itself is about 3 to 4 blocks high. What is it? I saw it in the pocket edition version 0.12.3 of minecraft. I found it in desert biome. Its not a desert temple by the way. Please help me out.
